Janaza Prayer

Dear community members,

Janaza Prayer on our brother Ali will be tomorrow Friday September 7th after Jumaa prayer isA. Then, he will be buried in shaa Allah in the cemetery at Morehouse road around 3:00 PM. Don't miss the reward of attending the Janaza and the burial.

It was narrated that Al-Musayyab bin Rafi' said:

"I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib say: The Messenger of Allah said: 'whoever follows a Janazah until the prayer is offered, he will have one Qirat of reward and whoever walks with the funeral until (the body) is buried will have two Qirats of reward, and a Qirat is like Uhud."'

"O Allah, forgive him. Make him among the guided ones, raise his status and be his deputy among the grieving. O Lord of the two worlds, forgive us and him and make his grave wide and full of light".

Brother Ali Alhindy passed away today. Please make duaa for him.

ISGL is collecting fund for Janaza and for transporting the body from Chicago to West Lafayette. Please donate generously for our brother Ali in one of the following ways:

Eid al-Adha 1439 - Tuesday August 21st, 2018

According to the news about Dhu Alhijja moon-sighting, tomorrow is the first day of Dhu Alhijja insha’Allah, and Eid Aladha will be on Tuesday August 21^st.

There is a sign up sheet in the Masjid to sign up for Eid Udhiya/Zabihah. The number of lambs is limited and it's first come to the farm first served.

Eid Prayer

Location and Time:

Eid prayer will be held at CoRec Gold and Black Gym Courts on Tuesday August 21^st. Prayer will be begin at 7:30 AM sharp insha’Allah. Snacks, donuts and refreshments will be provided after prayer, and feel free to bring your own too.

Parking:

Parking near CoRec is available for A, B and C permit holders. All cars with or without permit can park for free till 8:30 AM only. Any parking after that should be with a permit. Depending on how long the prayer would take, if you would like to have a temporary permit, you can purchase a daily permit online for $5.

Eid al-Fitr 1439 - Friday June 15th, 2018

Alhamdullelah, Allah has blessed us to live to these last days of Ramadan. May Allah accept from all of us the fasting and the prayers. Ameen!

Eid mubarak to you and your family! In shaa Allah Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Friday, June 15th. Prayer will begin at 7:15 AM sharp in shaa Allah. The location of Eid prayer this year will be Stewart Center, 128 Memorial Mall, West Lafayette, IN 47907 Rooms 302 and 306. After the prayer, ISGL will in shaa Allah provide donuts and juice for breakfast outside and in front of Class of 1950 building (refer to the map). Please, feel free to bring any food, sweets or drinks (coffee, tea.. etc) to share with the community.

Due to no reports of moon sighting from East Coast and Florida with clear skies, and due to no positive reports of moon sighting locally here in Lafayette, ISGL announces that tomorrow will be the last day of Sha’aban and the first day of Ramadan will be Thursday May 17th, 2018 insha'Allah.
